The Great Read Out

The Great Read Out event was held on Sunday 8 December to launch the Premier’s Summer Reading Challenge (in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of WA) 2013-14!

There were many fun activities that families got involved in at the Urban Orchard, opposite the Art Gallery of WA, in Perth.

The Great Read Out featured well known Western Australian children’s authors and illustrators that read aloud to the audience, and players from the West Coast Eagles, the West Coast Fever and the Fremantle Dockers who encouraged children to take part in this year’s Challenge.

Children who dressed up as their favourite book character went in the prize draw, as did other children who took part in reading activities throughout the day. For more about The Great Read Out click here.

The Challenge is proudly sponsored by Qatar Airways and Channel 9.
